The strategic fit is Render — multi-region teams that already rely on same-region private networking and need a global, identity-aware extension. Framing is complementary, not competitive with same-region private nets.
Thesis
Prefer Render’s same-region private networking whenever traffic stays in-region (LOCAL_NATIVE). Use Fabric for cross-region authenticated paths, stable global names, mTLS identity, and policy — without making every service public by default.
Documented gap
Render private networks are region-scoped. Cross-region communication commonly uses the public network plus application-level authentication. That pattern works — and is the gap this fabric is designed to narrow.
